These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website imhc.com.pg and the online car rental booking services offered by Island Mobile Hire Cars Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website or submitting a booking request, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you are acting on behalf of a government agency, department, or public institution in Papua New Guinea, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any provision herein, please refrain from using our website or Services.
1. Eligibility
Our services are available nationwide in Papua New Guinea, with a primary focus on government agencies, statutory bodies, and public sector entities.
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to enter into contractual obligations on behalf of yourself or your organization.
2. Online Booking Process
Vehicle availability is subject to real-time confirmation. A booking request submitted via imhc.com.pg is provisional until confirmed by Island Mobile Hire Cars Ltd via email or official notification.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking at our sole discretion, including in cases of incomplete information, suspected misuse, or non-compliance with these Terms.
3. Pricing, Invoicing & Payment
All rates are quoted in Papua New Guinean Kina (PGK) and include applicable local taxes unless otherwise specified.
Government clients may be eligible for account-based billing upon submission of a valid Purchase Order (PO) or official authorization letter.
Confirmed bookings will be honored at the agreed rate; however, general pricing and vehicle availability on the website are subject to change without notice.
4. Vehicle Use & Client Responsibilities
Vehicles must be operated in compliance with all PNG road traffic laws and used solely for official or authorized purposes.
The Client is fully responsible for:
– Fuel, tolls, parking fees, and traffic fines incurred during the rental period.
– Any damage beyond fair wear and tear.
– Ensuring only approved, licensed drivers operate the vehicle.
– Off-road use, subletting, or use outside agreed geographic zones is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.
5. Insurance & Liability
All vehicles include mandatory third-party insurance as required under PNG law. Optional comprehensive coverage may be available upon request.
Island Mobile Hire Cars Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (e.g., missed appointments, travel delays) arising from vehicle unavailability, mechanical failure, or other unforeseen circumstances, except where prohibited by PNG law.
In the event of an accident, theft, or damage, the Client must:
– Notify local police (where applicable) and obtain a report.
– Inform Island Mobile Hire Cars Ltd immediately.
6. Data Privacy
We collect only the data necessary to process bookings and provide services (e.g., name, agency, contact details, and driver’s license information).
Your data will not be sold or shared with third parties except as required to fulfill your booking (e.g., with fleet coordinators) or as mandated by PNG law.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information in line with international data protection principles.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on imhc.com.pg—including text, logos, images, and software—is the exclusive property of Island Mobile Hire Cars Ltd or its licensors and is protected under international copyright and trademark laws.
Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Papua New Guinea. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. If unresolved, the matter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Port Moresby, National Capital District, Papua New Guinea.
9. Amendments
We may update these terms at any time. Revised versions will be posted on imhc.com.pg with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

No. Our vehicle rental services are currently reserved for Papua New Guinea government agencies, departments, and approved public-sector entities. We do not offer rentals to private individuals, businesses, or non-government organizations.
We maintain a diverse fleet of over 1,000 vehicles nationwide, including sedans, SUVs, 4WDs and utility vehicles (utes), suitable for urban, rural, and remote operations across PNG’s varied terrain.
With 16 strategically located branches across Papua New Guinea, we can typically deploy vehicles within 24–48 hours of confirmed request, depending on location and availability. Emergency or priority requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.
All vehicles undergo regular servicing and pre-rental inspections by our certified technicians across all 16 branches. Maintenance is fully included—especially for long-term rentals—along with 24/7 roadside assistance.
Absolutely. We offer flexible rental terms—from daily or weekly rentals for short missions to multi-month or annual contracts for ongoing operational needs. Long-term agreements include maintenance, roadside assistance, and fleet management support.
